Sheffield drug dealer facing time behind bars

Sheffield Crown Court heard on April 20 how Leon Greaves, aged 62, of Christ Church Road, Burngreave, Sheffield committed the offences in March 26, 2018.
He pleaded guilty to possessing class A crack-cocaine drugs with intent to supply and to possessing class B cannabis drugs with intent to supply.

Hide AdAndrew Smith, defending, said: “The defendant will say there is a commercial element but he had been a drug-addict for many years.”
Mr Smith added: “He realises the inevitability of a custodial sentence and asks to be sentenced sooner rather than later.”
Judge Rachael Harrison adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be considered before the next hearing on May 18.
She also requested an explanation from the Crown Prosecution Service for the delay in the case after the offences were originally committed in March, 2018.
