David Rodgers, 35, of Emerson Crescent, Sheffield, admitted during a Sheffield Magistrates’ Court hearing on January 23 that he had harassed his partner by repeatedly phoning her and making threats.
Robert Coyne, prosecuting, said the victim claims Rodgers began contacting her in the early hours and was abusive and sometimes he would breathe heavily down the phone line.

Rodgers pleaded guilty to causing harassment between December 7 and December 21.
Hester Russell, defending, said Rodgers suffers with depression and his life has spiralled out of control and he apologises.
She added he cannot understand why he behaved the way he did because he has no animosity towards his ex-partner.
Magistrates adjourned the case until February 27 to consider a probation report before sentencing.
