Sheffield Crown Court heard on March 29 how Brian Shaw, aged 25, of Barnsley Road, Goldthorpe, Barnsley, was caught with 90 wraps of the class A drug at his flat after a police raid.
Recorder Michael Fanning told Shaw: “You were in your flat when police attended to execute a search warrant. You co-operated with police and you handed over 90 wraps of cocaine.”

Hide AdAndrew Stranex, prosecuting, said police raided the property on August 30, 2019, and Shaw handed over a tub which he said contained “crack” and officers were shown further drugs.
Mr Stranex added police found drug-dealing paraphernalia and recovered £250 in a wallet and the 90 wraps of cocaine valued at £900.
Shaw claimed he bought drugs for himself and sold to friends but Recorder Fanning said the operation went beyond personal use and supplying to friends.
The defendant, who has previous convictions, pleaded guilty to possessing the class A drug cocaine with intent to supply.

She added Shaw’s intellectual function is low and he is vulnerable to exploitation which no doubt contributed to his offending.
Recorder Fanning told Shaw: "Drug supply causes misery and harm to society because people start to steal to fund a drug habit.”
He sentenced Shaw to two years and seven months of custody.
