Stabbed and shot to death: Police investigations continue into two Sheffield murders

One man was stabbed to death in the city and the other was shot dead.
The first murder probe was launched after Kamran Khan, aged 28, was found critically injured outside a property on Club Garden Road on the Lansdowne estate, Highfield, in the early hours of Sunday, November 15.
He had been stabbed in his chest.

Hide AdKamran was taken to hospital but could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.
A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remained in police custody last night as enquiries continued.
Just less than 24 hours later, a man named locally as Ramey Ghalib, was shot dead in a property on Grimesthorpe Road South, Burngreave.
The 20-year-old died a short time after arriving at the Northern General Hospital.

Hide AdNobody arrests have yet been made but South Yorkshire Police said the shooting is being treated as a ‘targeted attack’.The two murders are not being linked by detectives.
Large police cordons remained in place at both crime scenes yesterday as detectives worked on piecing together exactly what happened in each incident.
There is an increased police presence in both areas as officers attempt to reassure concerned residents of their safety.
