Suspect drug dealer arrested after police raid on Sheffield estate

The suspect was arrested after police officers searched a house on Lindsay Avenue, Parson Cross, yesterday morning.
South Yorkshire Police said the suspect was held on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Hide AdSheffield North East’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, which carried out the raid in its ‘fight against drug dealing’ said drug use was highlighted as the main issue of concern for local residents who took part in a survey last week.
The team said: “Thank you to all of you who took the time to complete the Parson Cross, Fox Hill and Southey survey last week.
“As a team we continue our commitment to listen to people’s concerns and act on them.The survey results show that overall the main three concerns in order of priority are drug dealing and use, off-road bikes and speeding vehicles.
“Local policing is about keeping people safe and overall we have achieved some very positive results over the last couple of years however there is no place for complacency and we remain focused on further improving our community.

“Keeping people safe in their homes, communities and on the roads remain our priorities.”
