Three men and teenage boy to go on trial over fatal stabbing of young dad in Sheffield

Three men and a teenage boy are to go on trial today accused of murdering a young Sheffield dad.

Lewis Bagshaw, aged 21, of Southey Green Road, Southey, was found with stab wounds on nearby Piper Crescent on the evening of Sunday, July 21, last year.

The dad-of-one was taken to hospital but could not be saved and died a short time later – sparking a murder probe.

Nicki Humphrey, 42, of no fixed abode; Jervaise Bennett, 20 of Bishopholme Close, Shirecliffe, Sheffield and Callum Ramsey, 18, of Batworth Drive, Shirecliffe, Sheffield, are charged with murder and are all due at Sheffield Crown Court this morning.

A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for leagal reasons, is also charged with murder and due to stand trial.

The hearing is listed to begin at 10.30am and the trial is expected to last around six weeks.
