A police hunt is under way for ‘three males’ seen running away from a car abandoned after a near miss with a police van in Sheffield.

The trio fled after dumping a Renault following a collision close to the ruins of Sheffield Manor Lodge, Manor Park, on Friday night.
South Yorkshire Police said the car ran out of control and crashed shortly after a near miss with a police van patrolling the area.
Some form of identification was left in the car.
