Cyclists to tackle Sheffield's seven hills in extreme riding challenge
The Magnificent Seven, taking place this morning, is a unique cycling event, the first of its kind in the city.
One of the headline events of The Outdoor City Weekender, The Magnificent Seven is not just new to Sheffield, it is the first of its kind in the UK.

Hide AdIt is expected to attract cyclists from across the country, motivated by the challenge of Sheffield’s famous seven hills.
Not for the faint-hearted, it’s a cross between a sportive and a hill climb, and will see 60 cyclists face seven of the toughest hills in Sheffield.
Climbs will range from from nine per cent to 23 per cent, and a route of just over 19 miles.
Cyclists will ride with escorts between hills, where they will gather together at the bottom before racing to the top. The final hill climb will take place at 10.30am.

Hide AdThe top ten male and female riders in each category will be awarded points after each hill climb with the top three winning a prize.
The awards ceremony will follow at the Norfolk Arms pub, Ringinglow Road, from 10.45am.
