Danny ready for return

AS one midfielder goes out, another one is ready to return for Rotherham United tomorrow.

They face Hartlepool at Millmoor in the final warm-up match before the League Two season kicks off at Hereford a week tomorrow.

Missing tomorrow, next week and for several weeks will be midfielder Mark Hudson after suffering torn knee ligaments in the goalless draw with Sheffield United on Tuesday.

But manager Mark Robins was able to welcome back another midfielder newcomer, Danny Harrison.

He has been suffering from a thigh strain picked up in last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Barnsley and was left out of contention for the Blades game as a precautionary measure.

Harrison will now step back into the reckoning and is likely to figure tomorrow in the centre of midfield.

A candidate for a role too is Dale Tonge who plays midfield or right-back.

Robins will certainly be looking to give as many players as possible a full 90 minutes against Danny Wilson's side who gained promotion last season a year after going down to League Two.

"This will be a different sort of test to the last two but a stiff one nonetheless," said Robins.

"Hartlepool got promotion from the league we are going to be in and this will give us a better indication of what we're going to be facing over the next nine months."

The club's open day will be at Millmoor on Sunday at 10am.

The funeral of ex-Millers boss Danny Bergara will be at All Saints Church, Totley, next Thursday at 2pm.
