Diabolo-cal fun as kids learn circus skills from forest rangers

DONCASTER youngsters are getting the chance to act the clown during the summer holidays.

Forest rangers are organising a series of circus skills workshops around the town in August.

Kids will get the chance to have a go at stilt walking, juggling, Diabolo and a host of other skills, including plate spinning, without worrying about broken crockery!

The free events take place at Bentley community wood on August 16 and Brodsworth community wood the following day and run between 11am and 1pm.

Ranger Helen Walton said: “The workshops are part of our Active Woods campaign to get youngsters out of the house and into the outdoors to keep in tip-top shape. All that’s needed is a sense of fun and enthusiasm. With a bit of practice, children will soon be impressing mates with their new ‘Big Top’ tricks!"

Booking is required - call 01302 820278. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
