A car and motorbike were involved in a fatal collision outside the Esso petrol station.

Emergency services were alerted at 6.45am.

What happened at the scene?

999 crews battled to save the motorcyclist but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

No, formal identification has yet to take place, although the man’s family has been informed and are being supported.

What is happening on East Bank Road this afternoon?

The road is sealed off at both sides of the Esso petrol station while police crash scene investigative work is carried out.

At around 10am, the motorcyclist’s bike remained on the road.
