‘You’re about to get towed’: Dozens of cars 'authorised for removal' on two Sheffield streets

The owners of the cars, which are all on Hunter Hill and Pinner Road near Hunter’s Bar, were notified yesterday that their vehicles would be towed away if they did not remove them.
Contractors working for the SCC Streets Ahead partnership between Sheffield Council and Amey are in the area today to complete resurfacing work on the streets.

Hide AdAll car owners who park on the street had previously been informed that resurfacing was due to take place and that their cars should be taken elsewhere for the duration of the work to avoid damage.
The scene was shared on social media by the @ParkinginSheff Twitter account.
They said: “If your car is on Hunter Hill or Pinner Road #Sheffield you’re about to get towed.
“Amazing what they can do when they want to resurface.”
