Fire crews tackle fire at Rotherham car repair centre

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a car repair centre in Rotherham which caused damage to several vehicles.

Five fire engines from Rotherham, Elm Lane, Parkway and Central stations were called to an industrial premise at 1:50 am on Saturday morning.

On arrival firefighters found the garage repair centre on Clough Road in Masbrough, Rotherham well alight with a number of cars inside the premise.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to tackle the fire.

A small number of cars were destroyed or damaged in the incident.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will now take place.
