Four car crash halts traffic on Sheffield Parkway

A four car crash halted traffic for a short time on Sheffied Parkway this afternoon.

The incident took place at around 2pm on the inbound carriageway near the McClaren garage and the Morrisons turnoff.

No one was injured, however, and traffic resumed shortly afterwards.

A spokesperson said: “Police were called at 1.49pm with reports of a collision involving four vehicles on the inbound Sheffield Parkway close to the Morrisons turn-off.

“No-one was injured, a lane was closed for a short time to allow for vehicle recovery.”
