Fun and games at Sheffield's historic Manor Lodge

Manor Lodge in Sheffield is hosting a packed programme of activities for anyone interested in history, nature or poetry as part of its annual open weekend.

From 11am on Saturday, the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust is running a free wildlife safari around the meadow, then at noon there will be a reading of some of William Shakespeare’s works in the Turret House.

On Sunday visitors are invited to join in an all day family picnic in the grounds of the 16th century Tudor ruins.
