Get Up And Go programme

Homelessness charity Depaul is looking for volunteers in Sheffield to help young people as part of its Get Up And Go programme.

The programme provides extra support to young people who are ready to take their next steps in education or employment.

We are seeking volunteers who could spend as little as half a day a week facilitating activities such as creative arts and photography sessions, sports and fitness sessions, cookery and healthy eating classes and educational trips for small groups of young people.

Depaul works in Sheffield with single young people aged 17 to 21 and young parents aged 16 to 21 who have a local connection to the city and need support to resettle after a period without a permanent home.

We are partners with Sheffield City Council Housing Support Pathway and have received major funding from the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

We are also looking for volunteer mentors to help our young people on a one-to-one basis, listening to them and offering support.

If you are interested in helping, please phone 0114 27 7152.
