Girls may have filmed street attack

TEENAGE girls may have used their mobile camera phones to film an attack on a youth in Bentley, Doncaster, say police.

Officers are appealing for information about the assault on a 17-year-old from Bentley who was walking with his girlfriend on Rosedale Road at the time of the incident.

The victim and his girlfriend were heading to a friend’s house when they saw a group of young people on Rosedale Road, just off Askern Road.

Two males approached him and one of them stood in front of him blocking his path and butted him on the forehead. He then punched him in the eye and butted him again before the second male then punched him in the head and the group ran off.

The youth sustained facial and head injuries.

Both suspects were accompanied by four white girls aged between 14 and 16 who stood by - and some may have recorded footage of the incident on their mobile phones.

The first male was white, aged between 14 and 16, around 5ft 6ins tall, of average build, with short dark gelled hair, wearing a long sleeved sweatshirt with horizontal stripes in black and red.

The second was the same age and height, of quite a stocky build, with short hair possibly with blond streaks, wearing a pink short-sleeved T-shirt.
