Hallam blue after two losses

Hallam suffered a second defeat in four days when they lost 3-1 at Nostell MW.

The Blues were given an early lift when Matt Brown scored his first goal for the club inside the first minute.

Hallam dominated the opening 25 minutea but couldn’t add to their lead and were pegged back ten minutes before the break when Ben Gilbert hit Nostell’s equaliser.

Mike Long put the home side in front five minutes into the second half and then Neil Samardizj sealed the win.

Parkgate twice came from behind to earn a point in a 2-2 draw at South Normanton Athletic.

Joel Hodgkinson put the home side ahead on 40 minutes, but it was cancelled out by a Matt Outram equaliser three minutes after the break.

Nick Goislangoni nudged Athletic in front but Adam Fretwell’s 90th minute penalty saved a point for the Steelmen

Staveley came from behind to beat Leeds Met Carnegie 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Lee Gregory and Ryan Damms. But Brodsworth were thrashed 7-0 at home by Selby Town.
