Hannah's wall challenge

IT'S usually parents who are climbing the walls by the end of the school holidays but Hannah Wildman shows the kids can do it for real.

The 12-year-old from Intake was one of scores of young people from across the borough who got out of their mum’s hair by attending one of the summer camps at The Dome.

Some of them took a step back in time by taking a look at fitness and entertainment from medieval times with children, aged eight to 13, enjoying a special Medieval Camp when they had a go at jousting, juggling and finding out about knights.

Jon Whiteley, head of leisure at The Dome, said: “The Dome Camps are a regular feature of our school holiday activity programme.

“The camps are there to keep children entertained and active during their time off of school.

It is great to see young people from across the borough mixing well and enjoying sporting and leisure activities.”
