Holiday treat offer for flood hit families

SHEFFIELD families whose homes were devastated in the floods are being invited to take advantage of a summer holiday treat - a trip to the seaside.

The Mayor of Scarborough Coun Janet Jefferson has joined up with the town’s South Bay Traders’ Association to launch a special fundraising initiative to raise money to bring affected Sheffield families for a day out on the coast.

Coun Jefferson said: “I really look forward to welcoming many families to Scarborough so that we can bring some sunshine into their lives and give them a day out to remember.”

Anyone who would like to be considered for one of the 104 places available on the trip on August 16 should contact Rachel Chapman on 01723 232419.
