Injured rider now 'stable'
THE rider seriously injured in Tuesday's fatal crash on the old Thorne Colliery pit tip is said to be "stable" in Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield.
Scott Moffatt, aged 26, of Grange Road, Moorends, was airlifted by helicopter ambulance after the freak collision with another off-road biker.
An inquest into the death of the other rider, 20-year-old Kyle Turner, of Darlington Grove, Moorends, was due to be opened today by the Doncaster Coroner, Stanley Hooper.
