Johnson Street Sheffield: Man dies after suffering medical episode in Stocksbridge

Emergency services were called to Johnson Street in Stocksbridge at 10.39am today, Tuesday, August 23, to reports of a man in his 70s suffering a ‘medical episode’.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Members of the public and emergency services made attempts to help the man, but he was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.”

She added that officers are not treating his death as suspicious.

The incident is understood to have happened at, or close to, the Co-op store on Johnson Street.
