Man chased by police dog and arrested for drug offences after failing to stop on Sheffield estate

A man who failed to stop for officers was chased down by police dogs and arrested for drug offences.

The 25-year-old failed to stop in the Parson Cross/Southey Hill area today, according to South Yorkshire Police.

He was driving a Ford Focus S-Max when he failed to stop for police. The man apparently fled on foot and was chased by a police dog before being arrested for drug offences.

The man was charged with drug offences, not relating to drug driving, but being in possession of a quantity of drugs, and has been bailed to Sheffield Magistrates Court, according to the police.
