Man rushed to hospital after being hit by car on busy Sheffield street

A man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy Sheffield street.

Police were called to Ross Street at around 2.10pm on Tuesday after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Shocked eye-witnesses said that the road was blocked by ambulances and police cars as paramedics treated the man.

Main Road was closed, along with the junction of Greenland Road, while the incident was dealt with.

Police have confirmed that the man was not said to have been seriously in the crash.
