Meeting of flood victims

FLOOD victims from all over the country will gather at an open meeting in Catcliffe to talk about their experiences and learn from others.

The meeting, at St Mary’s Church, Catcliffe, at 7pm on Wednesday, will feature flood victims from flood-hit areas outside of South Yorkshire such as Boscastle and Carlisle.

Catcliffe vicar the Rev David Bent, said: “This meeting will give people an opportunity to talk to others who’ve been through similar experiences.

“Following the initial crisis, we now feel we have moved on to thinking about the mid to long-term - it will be a very useful experience for everyone affected by the floods to learn how others coped and see if any good can come out of it.”
