Staff from Sanctuary Housing have given out a range of books to local groups in celebration of the national event, designed to inspire a love of reading among those who don’t read on a regular basis.

Recipients of the books were a toddler group at United Reformed Church and Forge Youth Group members.

Sanctuary Housing provides social housing on the Shiregreen estate and has spent £100 million improving homes and the local environment over recent years.

It also supports community schemes.
