On fire Bernard seals Town win

Second half substitute Curtis Bernard made it three goals in three games as he sealed a 2-0 Worksop Town win for the Tigers over Parkgate.

The first half chances fell to Worksop with a Steve Woolley shot palmed away by the Parkgate keeper Bonnington, while in the 33rd minute an excellent cross by Woolley saw Steve Owens head just wide of the near post before the same player blasted over.

Tigers broke the deadlock after seven minues after the re-start when Owens put in a cross from the right and Kyle Jordan stole in at the back post to hammer home a left foot shot into the bottom corner.

Five minutes later a move involving Phil Rowland, Andy Wright, Steve Robinson saw Luke Staton test Bonnington from 25 yards.

Seven minutes from time, Bernard recorded a fine individual goal after beating three Parkgate defenders and rounding Bonnington to knock the ball home.
