A room with a view... and the noise of nuisance bikers

THIS picture was taken from my window looking over to the moors towards Fox House, it's a view you could not better.

Every day of the year is different as is every hour, people pay pots of money for such a view and I have it for free.

The trees in early spring give a show of so many shades of green, they are just perfect but these woods are being used by motor bike owners who don't care about the damage they create.

It’s a problem that will not go away as younger people see these bikers and think it’s a normal pursuit.

These woods and their setting are for everybody to walk in, sit and admire and to take children for a pleasant walk.

Apart from the damage to pathways and habitat it’s the whining noise of the engines that grates on the ears and forces you to close doors and widows to escape the din.

There are one and a half million trees in Sheffield and that works out at three trees for every resident and I would say that we are the greenest city in Europe and we should be proud of that fact and more should be done to protect them and the woodland where they grow.

There is an endless supply of workers at every Job Centre. Instead of paying money out to people who don't work or won’t work put them into work gangs to clean up and smarten the city.

And if they won’t do it just stop their money.
