Be aware that slavery continues
IT is pleasing to read in your article 'Close-up on slave trade' that schools and youth groups can take place in a national competition to discuss the legacy of the slave trade.
It is, however, important that school children and the population as a whole are made aware of the fact that slavery continues to this day. In Asia trafficking of children is a real issue. Only through raising awareness of this global crime can slavery finally be brought to an end.
