Whilst forced marriages, honour killings and the like may occur in Muslim countries and equally in non-Muslim countries, your correspondent Peter Charles will find that this is far removed from the teachings of Islam.
Islam came to empower women and give them freedom, the Prophet stated in his last sermon: “Treat your women well and be kind to them, for they are your partners and committed helpers.”
