Patients call off operations
MORE than 100 non-essential operations were cancelled by patients on the day they were due to go ahead in Doncaster and Bassetlaw in June, official figures show.
Statistics released by Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust show 109 operations were called off by patients. In May 103 operations were called off by patients on the day.
The figures refer to all the trust’s hospitals which include Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Mexborough Montagu and Bassetlaw Hospital.
