Pensioner loses fight for life after collision in Barnsley
A pedestrian injured in a collision with a car in Barnsley has lost his fight for life.
The 79-year-old man was involved in a collision with a silver Ford Focus outside Barnsley College in Old Mill Lane, at around 12.40pm on Monday, July 18.
South Yorkshire Police announced today that the OAP died two days later.
A force spokeswoman said: "His family has been notified and are receiving support from specialist officers."
Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
