Lost Chord singer's musical gift for the Queen
Nicola is one of the team of professional musicians working with Lost Chord, the South Yorkshire charity that provides vital interactive musical sessions for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across the region and nationally.
Throughout the year of lockdown, Nicola took her music outdoors, performing on the streets and at a safe social distance from her audience.

But she also found time to film a special Royal You Tube 95th birthday tribute featuring songs from Broadway and Hollywood musical hit Oklahoma, which was the Queen and Prince Philip’s favourite show in the post-war days of their courtship and marriage.
Lost Chord Chief Executive Helena Muller said: “Nicola is a shining example of the great musical spirit of Lost Chord.
“We hope this special performance of songs from Oklahoma will have been appreciated by the Queen and by sharing it on You Tube, it will also provide enjoyment for anybody who loves great singing.

“More than 20 years experience has told Lost Chord that music is one of the few things that can actually reach out to people when all other forms of communication have been lost.”
