Manchester United captain and former Sheffield United star Harry Maguire celebrates baby joy

Sheffield-born Manchester United and England defender Harry Maguire has welcomed a baby girl into the world.

Harry’s fiancée Fern Hawkins has given birth to their second daughter, named Piper Rose. The couple shared the news on their Instagram pages on Saturday (9 May).

The former Sheffield United star, 27, shared a photograph of himself and Fern, 26, wearing hospital gowns while cradling their newborn. He captioned it: “Welcome to this crazy world baby girl. Piper Rose Maguire.”

Harry and Fern have another daughter, Lillie Saint Maguire, who was born 13 months ago.

Harry, from Mosborough, was recently hailed as a ‘local hero’ by a community group from his area after he and his family funded food boxes to be delivered to elderly and vulnerable people in and around Mosborough.

He also spoke of his love for his local community and his desire to give back to vulnerable people during the coronavirus crisis.
