Trams in Sheffield are delayed tonight after a car was reportedly abandoned on the tracks of a busy junction.
Supertram says they are experiencing heavy disruption following the incident on Park Square, one of the busiest tram junctions in the city for the Yellow and TramTrain routes. FirstBus is accepting passengers’ tram tickets.
A photo shared to Twitter appears to show the abandoned car marooned on the tracks and gravel with at least three men sprinting away from it.
South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for a comment.
