South Yorkshire firefighters have spent the night tackling a huge warehouse blaze.

The fire broke out in a disused warehouse on Manor Road, Kiveton Park, Rotherham, at 11.05pm yesterday.

At the height of the blaze there were six crews involved in the firefighting operation.

Because of fears that the roof may have contained asbestos, and the large amount of smoke generated, residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been released.
