‘Thank you for keeping us safe’: Sheffield mum’s heartwarming Christmas gift to police officers
The lead up to Christmas can be overwhelming for those in the police force. This week officers will be preparing for the ‘Mad Friday’ rush, with South Yorkshire’s control room taking 1493 101 calls and 810 999 calls on the night all before midnight last year.
One mother expressed her appreciation for the force’s work with a gesture at Sheffield coffee shop Coffika.

Staff explained they were bought as a “thank you for keeping them safe” and putting her children at ease when seeing them.
Officers thanked the stranger in a social media post.
“Thank you so much whoever you are. It’s greatly appreciated. #feelingthechristmaslove #randomactsofkindness”
