Peter Pan in city by sea!

PETER Pan is set to do battle with his old foe Captain Hook - but this time not in Never Never Land.

Instead the Captain will try to feed Peter to the crocodile at Sheffield on Sea - when street entertainers Laura Shankland and John Foulstone will recreate this exciting combat - on stilts.

Event organiser Maire McCarthy said: "Captain Hook and Peter Pan appeared at the very first Sheffield on Sea - we are delighted that they have found their way back from Never Never Land to join us."

Visitors to this year's city centre beach event weekend which takes place on August 18 and 19, will be able to climb to new heights, up Sheffield on Sea's very own cliff.

A 7.5 metre climbing tower will be erected at the event for the first time on the second day of the event, Sunday 19 August.

There will also be a chance to build sand castles on the beach, and take donkey rides.
