A new survey has revealed that more and more empty nesters are choosing to replace the void left by their children with a pet.
After decades of a noisy household, a house can suddenly seem a quiet place. A new survey from Vets4Pets has revealed that having something to nurture and care for is the number one reason empty nesters get a pet, followed by companionship, having a shared interest with their partner, exercise, and improvement of mental wellbeing. Parents also cited now having the time for a pet, after years of being too busy as another reason.
