Police examine stolen car dumped in Sheffield after chase
A car stolen from Merseyside and involved in a police chase through Sheffield has been seized for forensic examination.
The Volvo was spotted by officers in Burngreave, Sheffield and a police pursuit was mounted when it drove off.
South Yorkshire Police said the pursuit started on Spital Hill and the car was abandoned in woods behind nearby Verdon Street.
The driver fled and has not yet been traced.
A police spokesman said enquiries to trace the driver are ongoing and the car is to be examined.
