Police provide more information about incident on Sheffield street

Police are dealing with an incident on a Sheffield street this evening.

Officers are currently at a property on Holme Lane after receiving reports of concern for the welfare of a man there.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers remain at the scene and the road is closed to allow for emergency services to deal with the incident.”

In a tweet at around 6.30pm, Stagecoach Supertram said its blue route services were having to terminate at Hillsborough due to the incident.
