Pop girl has left footballer

The former Millers striker, who spent two seasons at Millmoor before moving on in 2004, has a daughter - 20-month-old Tiani - with the RnB star.

Byfield, who now plays for Millwall, got together with the Superstar and Thank You singer soon after his move from Rotherham.

In 2005 Birmingham-born Jamelia described her Brummie boyfriend as the "perfect man" and said: "I know Darren is definitely the one I am going to be with forever and we will get married eventually."

She added: "It's just really hard to believe a man can be as good as Darren."

But in January this year their relationship was dogged by rumours that Byfield, 30, had been cheating.

Now Jamelia, 26, has quit their Kent home and moved back to Birmingham with Tiani and her older daughter Teja, six.

A spokesman said: "Jamelia and Darren have sadly parted but it is an amicable split."
