School centre for business

A SHEFFIELD school has unveiled plans for a multi million pound, hi-tech Business and Enterprise Centre, which will benefit students, staff, parents and the local community.

The centre, at Fir Vale Secondary School, will incorporate the latest IT equipment, technical support and a Cyber Caf.

There will also be space where community organisations, Fir Vale students and pupils from other local schools will be able to learn in a new environment.

Head teacher Lesley Bowes said: “The Enterprise Centre, and the links this will forge with the Sheffield Local Enterprise Growth Initiative, will bring great changes to the school and the Fir Vale area.

“Students, the local community and businesses can expect to see a range of new opportunities focusing on the development of enterprise and entrepreneurial skills.”
