There will be three music stages at the popular festival, on July 7, featuring a line-up of local musicians, including Inavibe, Unscene, Joey Macphail, Humbar, Idle Ross, Mangoe Rescue Team, Forefathers, Vain Dolls, and Captain Avery & the Cosmic Triceratops of Intergalactic Peace. Organisers have also teamed up with Sheffield Live, who will be broadcasting live from one of the stages on the day, bringing together DJs, spoken word sets, and dance performances.

There will also be a pop-up paint jam, with a host of free and cheap activities for young people, around 80 different stalls, and food from around the globe - including street food from Mexico and Thailand, Momos dumplings from Nepal, wood-fired pizzas, Cossack food from Russia, cheese toasties, Caribbean Barbecue’s, and a wide range of Asian snacks and meals.

The event will, once again this year, be joined by FURD, with their inflatable football pitch; and there will also be a special edition of Sharrow Today newspaper from Sharrow Community Forum, which will be showcasing acts.

Festival committee chair Colin Havard said: “All in all, Sharrow Festival is a great meeting space where the many cultures who make up this distinctive neighbourhood can get together and let their hair down in a spirit of tolerance and mutual respect. Held at the heart of a diverse community Sharrow Festival is an opportunity for both the residents and community organisations working to safeguard and improve their lives to unite in celebration.”
