Sheffield Wednesday star backs cancer charity

Sheffield Wednesday player Barry Bannan is backing Prostate Cancer UK's latest fundraiser - the '˜Men United' cycle challenge.

He has given his support to Owls fans Steve Prowse and Marc Lister, who have signed up to do the 145-mile cycle ride, which takes place from June 3-5 and will see cyclists riding to Amsterdam from either Barnsley’s Oakwell Stadium or London’s Olympic Park.

The midfielder is urging other men to join up.

Last year the event raised £350,000 for Prostate Cancer UK to help fund new research and treatments.
