Everyone’s Festival will be held at Manor Fields Park on Saturday, August 13.

Organiser Richard Ibbotson and his team want to give people in the city a great free afternoon, raise money for charity and show off the park to hundreds of new visitors.

The festival will feature live music, dance, film and activities for both children and adults. There will also be a sponsored obstacle cause which people can take part in to support good causes.

Richard said: “The festival is a great opportunity for local people to get together, have some fun and help raise money for some worthy causes that operate in and around this part of Sheffield.

“Many people in Sheffield won’t even know the park exists. I’m sure they will be surprised to see a fabulous green space which is highly valued by local people for picnics, walks and the weekly Sheffield Castle Parkrun.”

The festival team are mostly giving up their time for free to organise the event.

Richard said: “It’s really good to see a number of local community organisations and individuals coming together and giving their own free time to put together this great event.

“We intend this festival to become an annual event which helps to raise the profile of the area as a great place to work and live.”

Organisers are looking for performers who would be willing to perform voluntarily to showcase their talents.

Richard said: “We would love to hear from all sorts of entertainers as we want the event to be as diverse and culturally mixed as possible.”
