Shop pair take to the skies with the Red Devils

DAREDEVIL Doncaster shop workers Eddie Wilson and Carl Bagshaw took the plunge for Bluebell Wood Children's hospice.

The pair, who work at the Lee Wrangler store at White Rose Way’s Lakeside Village shopping centre, dropped 13,000ft strapped to members of the Parachute Regiment’s Red Devils display team. The pair, both from Woodlands, were flown to the jump spot and strapped to a Para, before taking off in an aeroplane. They then parachuted back to Langer Airfield, Nottingham.

Eddie said: “We have so far managed to raise nearly 1,000 and the support from all the shops at Lakeside Village and the outlet staff has been fantastic. I was really nervous about the jump but I really wanted to help raise more money for Bluebell Wood as it is such a fantastic charity.”

Lakeside Village is trying to raise 25,000 by the end of the year for the hospice, and has already reached the 22,000 mark.
