South Yorkshire men arrested in probe into theft of railway track worth £2 million
The men, aged 50 and 54, were arrested in homes in Bessacarr, Doncaster, in the early hours of this morning.
British Transport Police said the arrests form part of Operation Ultimatum, an ongoing investigation into the theft of £2 million worth of rail track from across South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and the West Midlands.

Hide AdA total of 10 people were arrested in November as part of the probe in an operation which involved more than 100 officers, including specialist officers from British Transport Police's high tech crime unit and cash search dogs.
