The great Euro debate
First is the number of people on the left who want out, the second being those who promote the climate of fear of the consequences of coming out.
What does the latter say about how some feel about this once great United Kingdom?

Hide AdBecause let’s face it, it won’t be the UK if Scotland goes, partly a result of the EU.
Let’s remember what this country did in the latter part of the 20th century.
I’ll quote Bill Bryson.
“Here is a country that fought and won a noble war, dismantled a mighty empire in a generally benign and enlightened way, created a farseeing welfare state – in short, did nearly everything right, and then spent the rest of the century looking upon itself as a chronic failure. A nation not afraid?”
Alas it seems we are.
