Traffic delays on the cards
TRAFFIC disruption is likely in Hemingfield, Jump and Hoyland, Barnsley, this month when roads are dug up for water pipe maintenance.
The work is due to be carried out by Yorkshire Water contractor Balfour Beatty Utilities at the end of August.
Customers can find out which streets are affected in a drop-in session at Jump Children and Adult Learning Centre in Church Street, on Wednesday, Aug 8, from 4.30pm to 7pm.
Yorkshire Water is urging customers to be extra vigilant when allowing workmen to access to their homes during the project and always ask for identification.
